By one your child needs to be eating everything that you would be eating and using utensils!

Haha my one year old just turned one few weeks ago and he says everything!!! This is him eating tacos 🌮 and rice. Hints the piece of rice on his nip!!! 😆 
He is my 4th kid and I remember with my first couple I was so worried. I also think it makes a difference on how many teeth they have as well. This boy already has 10 !!!!! He grew his top 2 year old molars already!

By 1, she could already be eating most solid foods! Start with things like mashed potatoes if you’re nervous, or mash a banana. Those are foods that baby can *definitely* eat, as they could’ve been eating them since 6 months! 
How many teeth do they have? The more teeth, the harder the food they can handle. Of course, still don’t give them things like a Triscut cracker or something, but Cheerios with a couple of teeth are perfectly fine! 
Also, try and look up baby led weaning!
