Car seat for 2 door car/small backseat?

I have a Volkswagon hard top convertible Eos. The backseat is EXTREMELY small - no middle seat just 2 bucket seats. I haven't had it for a year yet, but surprise I'm due at the start of October. I've been doing a ton of research and I think I'm set on the Graco 35XL. Has anyone else been in the same predicament? What car seat would you recommend for such a small car?

Pretty sure if you go to babies r us you can test fit car seats to see how they will fit in your car. Depending on the store done have car seat "experts" per say.

My nephew has that car seat and I personally find it quite large. My SIL drives a Toyota Corolla or Camry and the passenger seat is pushed up kind of far making it a bit uncomfortable to ride. I just bought a maxi cosi mico which is significantly smaller but I have heard babies grow out of them faster.

If you're on Facebook, there is a page called Car seats forge Littles...or some thing like that. You can give the info on your car/stats on kids, and they'll give you advice. Many are techs or ex-techs.
