I had a surgical abortion a little over a year ago at 6w1d. My engagement was falling apart and my (ex)fiancé was going back to Australia (where he’s from) once we finished getting the wedding called off/taking care of everything. He’s started seeing someone new but I tried to contact him recently to talk about the abortion as I’ve been struggling with it quite a bit. I sent him a message in early July and he never responded. It wasn’t something we shared with many people so he’s really the only person I could feel comfortable discussing my feelings about it with. Has anyone else struggled with feelings of regret or low self worth because of having to make such a difficult choice? Who were you able to turn to?
