I’m getting cervidil in tomorrow morning to help me dilate and hopefully start labour. I’m only 1cm and 50% and have been for 3 weeks now. I’m 40+3 and doc said my cervix is unfavourable at this point so I decided to go ahead and get induced. If the cervidil doesn’t work or only works a little then I’ll get the IV of induction meds on Saturday morn as long as they have a bed available for me.

Has anyone had cervidil? I heard it doesn’t hurt getting in but my friend said she heard bad things about the pain while it was in? Can you share your experiences? How long after did you go into labour if you did? Did you still need to get induced with the IV afterwards? Thanks so much!
