Are y’all 20months old boys talking?

They say it’s take longer than girls! My son can say few words here and there but mostly points to what he wants takes me over and will point.
He can say Ball door ma dad mine and a few other but won’t put two together and it’s random !

We don’t have many consistent words, mostly yes, no, mommy, dada, kitty, cracker, go 😂 he has said many others, apple, out, hat, doggy, etc but he won’t repeat them when i ask him to, and it’s always a surprise when he says them 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
He’s great at following commands, he knows exactly what i ask for and loves to hide things from me to go find them again 😂 he’ll point, and then take my hand and drag me to what it is to make sure I know what HES talking about, but he gets very irritated with me when I try to force him to repeat after me 😒😆😆
MIL works with kids and said that kids who stay home (ie no daycare) and have no older siblings are usually the last to talk, apparently I’m not as fun to talk to as other children 🤷🏻‍♀️😩😂

Don't worry about it they are all different. Mine is pretty advanced with talking but so was I when I was a child

Same with mine his 19 months but he is trying to say words until i tell him to say it then he wont! Today he learned how to pronounce no! But i do feel like he is taking longer than my girl did!

Ours doesn’t stop 😂he’s going to be that kid that asks 1000 questions a day. He’s been saying a lot since about 10 months and is starting to repeat everything we say so that’s fun🤗lol

My doesn't say many words yet he mostly make sounds or point on things but he started saying this few words afyer the 18 months now he is 19 months I even took him to psychologist she was with him and told me to wait 2 more months to see if he advances a little bit in his speech but he understand  any command or request we  tell him.

omgosh yes! I catch him talking to himself. The other day he goes in the kitchen so I follow to see what he's up to and he stops (without seeing me) and says "Think, think, think" he does the Winnie the Pooh thing pointing at his brain and all... like he forgot what he went to the kitchen for 😂😂 usually in the morning I can hear him in his crib practicing his talking... "Mama, kitty kitty kitty... meow, mooo" daddy taught him "kick his butt" 😑 while they watch Wrestling together.. know he chases the cat around yelling "KICK BUTT! KICK BUTT!" 😒 or he'll run up to me shove his finger in my nose and yells "Nose!" he's definitely a funny guy but he's usually the culprit to my headaches.
They say girls usually talk earlier but his twin sister doesn't care to talk. 😕 she does sounds... like "meow, meow" (super cute btw) and little piggie snorts. But other than that and occasionally saying "done" "kitty kitty kitty" and babbling she's quite.

Hardly. He says a few things- "Stop, Dog, Cat, Mama, No, Dada, Yeah, Bye, Ball, Hot," and maybe a few others that I am forgetting, but they all mostly sound EXACTLY the same. I doubt anyone besides me or his dad knows the difference in his words.
I nearly put him into ECI speech therapy but I am pregnant and due next month, so I am going to wait until this baby is born. With prenatal appointments and my husband working nights now, my schedule is too hectic to do it before my youngest arrives. 
My husband says that he and his brothers talked late and I know that his brothers' kids talked late too so I guess it just runs in his family.

My son is starting to catch on to words, but I wouldn’t say he’s talking I guess. Like he will say one word, no sentences. He’ll point at the moon in the sky or in a book, tell our cats no, and for whatever reason he keeps saying our spaghetti squash for dinner is an apple, but he certainly isn’t stringing sentences together. He knows many individual words and understands exactly what you tell him. Like, go pick up your cars and put them in the bin.
