Why people don't mind lesbians but gay people, ew?

I've met some people who think nothing is wrong with being lesbian, "it's hot" but gay guys are disgusting and (from a religious stand point) will go to hell. Seriously?

(Basically: living by the literal law is good, but as long as you do all things in faith and do not doubt your standing with Christ, you are fine. It's if you have doubt and are not living by faith that God is as good as he says he is that you enter into sin.)
