Will I regret it?

To anyone who will read this, please give your opinion. I need it. 
My mother ruined my childhood. I have a younger brother and sister. A father I’m very close with. A stepmother who keeps her distance. My sister is pregnant and doesn’t talk to me. My brother is always getting into trouble in high school. My husband is way out of his comfort zone, I don’t know how to ask him for help. My mom has destroyed all of our trust, emotional security in others and our ability to say “I love you.” My mother is a drug addict and has never taken responsibility for anything. After 7 years she’s reaching out with no new information on her emotional growth. Will I regret not letting her in?

I don’t think so. Unless MAYBE you can get another family member to vouch for her being a changed woman, I think she’s lost her shot. You sound like you’d both be better off without her, and it sounds like inviting her in may make your current family uncomfortable and risk that for something you don’t know is even worth it (although I may be reading in to what you’re saying about your husband.)

I’m no expert, I’m only writing what I felt was right
It’s hard to imagine what you are going through, stay strong
I just wanted to say...
No one knows what might just happen 
You can’t do any changes at some point in life, I know I have my own regrets
I absolutely agree with them about finding your peace and feeling secure first
But sometimes we need to take a leap of faith 
Contact her if ready, see if she is ready herself or made any changes 
However, be careful and decide how the relationship is going to be based on her behaviour as how comfortable you are with all of this. 
But don’t allow this to affect you, go there knowing what the worst case scenario could be. 
You might want to be nice to her because she is your mother. But decide the limits and set your own terms without overdoing it. Remember, your well-being ones first. 
Who knows just what might happen?!!!

You don’t sound like you’ve dealt with the past- I wouldnt be in contact with her until you’re 100% accepting toward the past and have moved on

You won’t regret cutting her out a second time.. but Yu may regret not letting her in. Say hi, find it what she wants, then reassess

I think you have to be making all the progress you can and feeling secure and happy before letting her in again...
