Birth Story May 8th 2018

Angelina

Since I have no friends to tell.. here we go...

My fiancé and I have been trying for over 3 years to conceive. Last May 2017 on Mexican Mother’s Day May 10th I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. I went to the urgent care as I was working out of town and staying at hotels. 🙄 somehow I got bit by I think 🤔 bed bugs which itched like hell!! So I decided to go to get checked out. They had confirmed it was bed bug bites and the nurse advised me I was going to get steroids to hopefully help me. First she needed to take a pregnancy test to make sure I wasn’t pregnant. I said ok, but I’m not just so you know! I gave her my urine sample.. about 5 minutes later she comes back and says you are pregnant! 😭😭 I cried like a baby, she cried as well! There were 2 nurse guys and I think they cried too lol.. I went back to my hotel room and took 5 more tests and all came back positive! a week later I was at work and I started to have really bad cramps I left and went to the hospital lucky I was working near one.. I went in they did and ultrasound and said they didn’t see a heart beat or sac! I was sooo devastated. I went back to my hotel room and just basically tried to not stress myself out as I believe in miracles. The next morning I woke up and rushed to the restroom where a gush of blood came out. I’m pretty sure I lost my baby when that occurred. I called my mom and she came to pick me up almost 2 1/2 hour drive! As soon as we got into town straight to the hospital we went. I had in fact lost my angel baby. My fiancé and I cried and cried while in the parking lot. It was the worst pain emotionally that I have been in my life as I have had 2 live children before my angel.

Fast forward 2 weeks after my miscarriage, my moms birthday came we threw her a little party and got her a cake. She made a wish....

In the last week of September 2017 I found out I was pregnant. We didn’t announce until 12 weeks. My fiancé wanted a girl and I wanted a boy.. either way we were going to be happy regardless. I told my fiancé it was a boy for sure because of just how I felt he told me nope it’s a girl I had a dream that God told me it was a girl and she was calling me daddy. And we are not really religious whatsoever. 14 weeks we found out it was a girl. 22 weeks they let us know that baby had plexus cysts. 24 weeks they said she was ok and they had disappeared. 34 weeks went to hospital as I was dehydrated. 36 weeks and 5 days I started my maternity leave. 37 weeks 2 days I walked my dogs at the park, picked up my oldest kids from school cooked dinner and didn’t feel completely normal I asked my fiancé to take me to L&D;, he said they won’t do anything but keep us there until 5am like last time. By far my most craziest pregnancy. We get to L&D; and we were the only ones in the triage room. My midwife recommended an ultrasound. An hour later I hadn’t had anyone check on me and was feeling better. I had texted her if I could leave and she said I’ll be in to speak with you in a few. She came in and told me you’re going to have this baby either today or tomorrow as her heart rate was decreasing 😱 I cried. Until this point it hadn’t hit me that I was having another baby.. even with the growing belly and sleepless nights it hadn’t hit me yet. Not until I saw her face was when it was going to hit me. (My fiancé also wasn’t very emotionally attached yet either. We were still in shock of our miscarriage) So they started to induce me. Cool from 1am until 4am I was getting dosages I was fine.. 4am to 6am I was still ok 6am to 9 am I was starting feel the contractions. Jesus Christ did they hurt! I asked for an epidural it was about 10:30am at this point dilated about 6cm. Around 1215pm is when I received it. Dad had to wait outside they asked him to go to cafeteria. My nurse checked me and I was dilating fairly quick and was at 9cm. My midwife hurried to get dressed into her delivery clothing and nurse went to get my fiancé. The look on his face was priceless. At this point I’m already starting to push. Epidural kicked in only on one side 😰 I felt EVERYTHING!! It literally felt like a rock was coming out of my vajayja!! It hurt sooo bad! At this point I pushed and they told me to push when I felt another contraction. I looked over to my fiancé and it looked like he was going to faint. The midwife asked him to look at her hair.. he said no I’m ok and she said look dad look 😂 a push and scream later my baby girl was out. Her umbilical cord was around her neck but we heard her cries and it was the best ever! She was our rainbow baby. My mom wished her on her birthday for us! She was born May 8th 2018 at 1pm almost a year after I had my miscarriage!

She’s 3 months and such a blessing ❤️ she’s my fiancé 1st baby and she has him wrapped around her little finger!
