Meaning of Trendy style names?

Question

I see it mentioned a lot, what is considered a trendy name? Please help me out I seem to like them but can’t depict what is a trendy name etc..   what is a trendy name vs.. traditional or unique, rare or made up as I know what those are. 
Please no judgement for me not knowing. Just help and examples please and thank you so much ☺️😉😍😃❤️❤️

I think “trendy” means very popular, but not steadily classic. 
So James isn’t trendy, even though it’s very popular right now, because it’s always been very popular. Benjamin isn’t trendy, even though it’s very popular right now AND hasn’t always been top 100, but it never dips lower than 150 or so, and it’s fluctuations are very gradual, over decades. Whereas a name like Aiden is definitely trendy because it went from not even in the top 1000 to being in the top 100 in less than ten years, and then in the top 10 a few years later. Fast rise = definitely trendy.
If someone tells you you’re going to meet an Aiden you can safely guess that he’s probably not 50. He’s probably a kid, and has the best odds of being about 9. Same thing if you meet a Jessica, she’s probably not 70 or 7 months. She’s probably in her 20s or 30s because that’s when that name was trendy.
Names like Audrey and Paisley are similar in terms of popularity ranking this year. But if you look at their stats over the last 100 years, clearly Paisley is trendy and Audrey is not. 
(I live in the US, so all these stats are US numbers.)

Trendy right now is doing the unique spellings such as Jaxon instead of Jackson, Braudhi instead of Brody etc...I don’t understand it at all but it’s whatever🤷🏼‍♀️

Anything where the graph looks like a mountain is/was a trendy name. Current trendy names would look like a mountain that has gone up but not back down yet. 
A trendy name increases the likelihood that your child will have 1 or more other kids with that name around them growing up. It also increases the likelihood that as an adult people will be able to guess what year they were born I. Just based on their name. Think Jennifer and Linda.
Current trendy names are Liam, Jackson (all spelling variants), Olivia, Sophia, all of the belle/Elle variations.

Lol no judgment at all. Trendy is the Awww as popular names, but with a sort of uniqueness. Everyone deciding o name their child Noah. Or Rain. Or Mercedes would be tendu. You just doing it makes it unique. Traditional is Elizabeth, Michael, Sarah.

Trendy typically means that everyone is doing it, but it also kind of has a connotation that those same names (the “trendy” names) are going to be “out of style” or dated in a few years and people are gonna wonder what the heck people were thinking in 2018! Haha 😂
Kinda like the trend of teased hair, neon colors, and leg warmers from my mom’s day. At the time, everyone was doing it. Now you look at the pics and laugh out loud and say “What the heck, mom?!” Haha 😂
