Partner participated in an affair before your current relationship?

Here's a hypothetical situation. Your partner comes to you and admits that they were the other man/woman in a relationship before they met you. They were not cheating on their own partner, but knew that the person they were having an affair with was not single. Your partner regrets it now.

What would you do?

I would think less of them but I would only consider ending the relationship if they were doing the cheating, and even then I probably wouldn't, it depends on the situation. If they admitted to being a serial cheater, then I would have serious concerns, but people can change and not every person is the same in every relationship. I was in a relationship where I cheated. I would NEVER cheat on my current SO, and I didn't cheat in any other relationship. Sometimes you just don't know the situation.

It takes big balls to tell someone that kind of secret about themselves.  Honesty is key in a relationship.  If a person is opening up to you it could be a good thing for your relationship!

That was the past I might not like it but it still is the past heaven forbid people judged me on the stupid crap I did when I was young and dumb life is one big  learning experience
