AKA doubling of the uterus. AKA my current diagnosis. I discovered I had a second uterus 3 years ago when my husband and I became pregnant. I had an IUD at the time so naturally, this was pretty shocking. Ultimately it was discovered I had the IUD in one uterus and the second was empty. I miscarried shortly after. Side note: for those of you that have never heard of this, it's a condition that occurs during fetus development in the mothers womb. There are several variations and many times, goes undiagnosed. Ultimately, it makes conceiving more difficult and puts me at higher risk for miscarriage and preterm delivery. I've been avoiding this for a long time, but my husband and I are now in a place where we want to start trying. I've got a good poker face, ladies, but I'll be honest here. I'm scared. My miscarriage was very traumatic and then was sprinkled with the news that it could, and likely, will happen again. I'm reaching out to see if there are other women in this community of queens who have this condition, a similar condition or even have experienced multiple miscarriages and can offer words of wisdom.
