Do you bring the breast pump to the hospital?

Just got mine and wondering if it needs to be packed in the hospital bag? Or do you wait a while before using it?

My hospital has always provided one. BUT usually your milk doesn't come in for a few days. Maybe 2.

I was told that it's best to bring yours with you, especially if you're meeting with a lactation consultant, just because they can teach you how to use the one you'll be using (most of the time it's different at the hospital) and it'll make the transition at home easier, but if you're okay with leaving it behind, it's not absolutely necessary to take it.

I'm taking mine with just in case I have problems breast feeding and if I pump I'll keep the supply going at least.

I would bring your flanges, that way your lactation consultant can make sure you have the correct size for when you do decide to pump.

You shouldn't pump before about 4 weeks pp. your milk supply needs to establish first before you start messing with it. Also your nipples will be really sore the first few weeks.

Idk how to use the double electric one I got through my insurance, so it might be worth bringing. ??? Not sure what to do.

My insurance provides mine but won't let me order it until after I have him. Said they ship it out right away and I should receive it within two days of my call
