High amniotic fluid?

Any ladies experiencing this? I am 34w5d and I just had an ultrasound and my doctor told me I have high amniotic fluid so they are going to schedule me to see a high risk fetal doctor!! Just wondering if there are any mommas out there in the same boat?!?

I'm being induced next week at 38 weeks due to issues related to the high fluid. Around 28 weeks I started measuring larger than I should and it just kept getting bigger. At my high risk ultrasound at 36 weeks they discovered the bang has an obstruction in her bowels. Which is causing the extra fluid build up. So next week they'll deliver and take her straight to the NICU for evaluation and hopefully she poops! If not, they'll take her straight to surgery. We meet her possible pediatric surgeon Wednesday so I'll get more information then. But now at 37 weeks I'm measuring at 45 weeks.

I measured 4weeks further along cuz of extra amniotic fluid with my son and he was fine. I had GD with him tho.

Me too. At 34w3d doc said I had too much amniotic fluid. It puts me at risk for water breaking early so have to be super careful for the next few weeks. No long walks and no sex until delivery. I am not dilated, but 50% effaced. Doc seems to think I will deliver naturally about 10 days early. Not too much to stress about. GL momma!

I'm at 37 weeks with high fluid and GD , I go twice a week now for us and  nst, going in for csection on 17

I'll be 39w Friday! I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios (too much fluid) around 35 weeks. I'm now measuring 43 weeks, and am being induced on Friday (39w). My doctors didn't want me going past 39 because of the extra fluid. I'm already 1cm and 80% effaced, and his head is at a -1, so they're not too worried about anything major going wrong but definitely still have to take things carefully! I'm sure everything will be fine with you. I'm just extra huge in the belly right now, but I never got sent to a high risk doctor or anything. I've had to get weekly ultrasounds and NST's, that's all!

My fluid levels on today's scan were back within the normal range.  They said that it just sometimes happens that way.  The fluid level are always changing I guess.

I had that with my second child. I did have preterm labor and developed gestational diabetes but baby was fine.

I had that with my first, I just took it easy but didn't change what I was doing. I was induced at 41+1 and when my water finally broke it gushed everywhere which pulled the cord down around baby girls neck. I had a c section since I didn't progress with medication so it was handled safely. I would suggest asking your doc about this risk. Good luck, you will be fine!

I'm GD and I'm actually the opposite... My fluid levels are low. Yesterday I was only at a 7. Hope everything goes well at your next appt!
