Does anyone have GBS(group b staphylococcus) or had it

My doc told me I have GBS never had it before not with my first pregnancy have no idea what it is besides bacteria I have no idea where it comes from and my doc said if my baby comes in contact with it during birth the baby can develop a disease and this worries me

I had it with my first. They will just give you some antibiotics during labor. My son is perfectly healthy. Don't worry!

i have it no symptoms or anything the dr tests you for it i was given meds and i was put on meds when i was in labor. i will alwsys have it and as long as i get meds both while being pregnant and in labor the baby and i will be fine

If you have GBS, they give you antibiotics at the time of delivery (assuming it's vaginal, and not a c-section) to drastically reduce the chance of passing it to the baby during birth. GBS is not a STI and cannot be transmitted like one, and a percentage of Vagina owners already have it as a part of their natural flora.
