Our little Gabriel was born at 33weeks and 3 days. He had descended as of week 31 and was pushing up right into the cervix, which was only held in place with a cerclage I had received in an emergency procedure in my 20th week of pregnancy.

Although I was a high risk pregnancy, I was able to still keep up with most of the regular pregnancy stuff. The only difference for my husband and I, was that we had prepared for an early birth and had searched for an experienced hospital and team that not only had an NICU unit, but were accustomed to dealing with pregnancy complications.

Our little boy is thriving at Saint-justine's NICU and I am recovering from a complicated birth.

Both my husband and I are ecstatic of the choice we made by being followed by the CHUSJ.
