I posted this on Facebook so all of my friends know where I stand with out being to rude. What do you ladies think

I guess I just don't understand what the big deal is, is it really that important for you to be the first to post about it? Is it the baby? Or the attention on Facebook that you want?

I swear, if someone posted a picture of my baby before I did, I'd punch them in the face. That's disrespectful!

I just don't see the point--it's a little impersonal. The ppl tht would/should have access to your child should be ppl close enough to you tht you could just tell.

I don't understand what the big deal is, and you already posted it so what does it matter if we agree or not? 
If that's what you want fine, it's your pregnancy but I really don't see why this is such a big fuss to you.

It's no offensive. There are a lot of creeps out there that can take and steal the image and info of your newborn and there's no telling what can happen after that. It's your child. Not the community ferret.

That's a great idea actually.

When I got engaged I told my mom of course. But I also told her I was keeping it off facebook at that moment because I had a lot of friends and co-workers I wanted to tell in person.

Not 10 minutes after I left her house my phone was blowing up with texts from friends asking if I really got engaged.

Sure enough my mother made a big congrats post about it on Facebook tagging me so all my friends could see it. I was pissed.

For that same reason, I haven't told her I'm pregnant yet. I will but, but not until I'm ready for the news to be on facebook.

Totally acceptable. If anyone even thinks of writing on my Facebook about my baby's boys birth before I do, I will hunt them down 😜
I've decided that I may share one picture, to let everyone know about the birth. But I don't want everyone taking pictures and plastering them all over the place and spoiling my chance to reveal the birth x
