Toxoplasmosis - I’m freaking out

Hi all, I have an outdoor cat that likes to poop in the yard and eats lots of rodents. He was from the shelter and is about 2 years old they said. I read that most cats get toxo in their first year and are immune after that, which I really hope is true. Any input on the parasite and what I can do to keep myself and my unborn baby safe would be much appreciated! I really don’t want to get rid of the cat, but am literally terrified from some of the articles I read.
