What age is appropriate to start dating

My parents will not let me go on dates, or even just hang out with guys as friends until I'm 16, it's embarrassing telling guys that I can't hang out with them because of my strict parents.

I wasn't able to date till my freshman year in highschool. I was 15 I believe. And, even then I still wasn't responsible to know right from wrong. So I'd say 16 or 17. Depending on maturity level.

I'm 17, and when I was 15 I started texting a guy.... Needless to say that it was an experience but I'm much happier waiting til I'm a little older to look for a relationship :)

I was allowed to date at 16. If it were my kid it'd be 16 too
