Is Earth Sacred?

Sup, CC! 
I hope everyone's days are going fabulously.
I am curious to know how many of you believe that Earth, which encompasses her ecosystems, plant life, animal life, etc, as sacred. 
Sacredness is subjective, of course, so I am also curious how far that sacredness goes for you. As in, do you believe that all of Earth is sacred or are there only parts and parcels of Earth that you would consider sacred?
If you believe it is sacred, do you then believe that Earth should be protected as if it were sacred, and what would that protection entail?
If you believe it is sacred, do you live your daily life in respect to that belief? How do you do so?
If you don't (or do) believe it is, is this based on your spiritual point of view?

Earth is definitely sacred (in my eyes). Humanity has done a terrific job of destroying earth’s ecosystems, oceans and land. 
As inhabitants of this planet, we need to take care of it and protect it.

I guess I go back and forth with my views on the Earth. Currently, no. I don’t view it as sacred. I view it as just another planet that’s here now but will be gone at some point. Other days, I look at nature and find earth to be some sort of miracle. How water flows and trees grow lmao. It seems very peaceful and unwordly almost and impossible which makes no sense but I don’t make much sense half the time.

I find the earth to be the most sacred thing. Without it, we wouldn’t be here living the lives we do. It gives and supports life, and not just one form, all. Every place is sacred in its own way. 
We are beyond disrespectful towards it as we continue to slowly kill it every day by not living environmentally consciously. I do my best, I’ll even bring home recyclables from work (they don’t recycle) and recycle them myself. 
Unfortunately most of the time it comes down to laziness, lack of education on the matter or refusal of education and facts. And of course, assholes who just don’t care. We are killing the planet, we are wiping out entire species and causing rising temperature along with water levels. It’s does deserve better protection, and it got a little more through Obama, he was fantastic for the environment. But now those have been reversed and even worse has taken place. Greed is blinding people. 
As far as the protection...governments need to stop being corrupt. They need to arrest and prosecute fully for poaching but also helping the villages that resort to doing it to provide. We need to put into place some of the amazing inventions people have created to collect pollution in the water. A stop to the illegal palm oil fields. There are so many more things we can do. Something has to change, and it needed to change years ago.

I think it’s scared in the sense that all life here is dependent on the wellbeing of the earth. I’ve started to really reduce how often I use single-use plastic items (eg. plastic bags, straws etc.) I recycle everything I can, and if there’s no recycling bin when I’m out, I hang on to it until I get home.

Yeah I guess it depends on what your idea of sacred is. I believe we definitely need to protect the earth, including soil, air, oceans, trees, animals etc as those provide life and I do so in many ways in my day to day life but the idea of earth to me is not sacred like if I didn’t rely on it for life than it wouldn’t mean much more to me than what Pluto or Jupiter does. Humans have done a really shitty job at least in protecting life on earth. I have those beliefs due to my empathetic nature, not for spiritual reasons though I could understand how those two would go hand in hand.

I believe God is the creator of the universe and everything we have today.  I believe in taking care of our planet as God has created it for a reason.  But I don’t see it as sacred.  That to me takes it to a different level.  I am all for recycling and making the right decisions to protect our planet but ultimately I put my hope on eternal life not on what’s on this earth.

But I do view as some places on earth as "more sacred" or deserving of more recognition.

I believe the earth is sacred in the sense that it was created by Almighty God as a home for humans. However humans have ruined the earth and God will renew it at the right time. For that reason I don’t actively try to make the earth ‘better’ right now because human efforts are pointless. I try not to be part of those ‘ruining’ the earth (I don’t purposely pollute and I recycle some things).
