VBAC or Not??

Question

I was in labor 18 hours with my son and never dilated past 4 so he was delivered via c-section. My daughter is due 12/9 and I have the option of Vaginal birth after c-section but both make me nervous. I just don't know what to choose. Any advice. Good or bad.

Go for the VBAC!! Do your research!! There is more risk with a repeat cesarean than a VBAC. If your OB is supportive, I say go for it! I'm going for my VBAC in January :)

I would say just be open and be fully prepared for both a VBAC or repeat section because it honestly could go either way, some girls have no trouble with number two...some still don't dilate enough. Good luck and I hope you get the delivery you want: )

Your lucky you have that option. I would say go for it if you really wanted a vaginal. Same thing happend to me and the town I live in doesn't have hospitals equipped with emergency OR in labor and delivery in case of that .01% chance of a uterine rupture. Therefore, repeat C sec is my only option. I wish I had a choice.

I would start with trial of labor, give your body the chance to progress and experience a vaginal birth.
