Copper IUD?? Smell???

ever since I got my copper iud in, i always feel like I smell? like wet pennies or maybe I’m just psyching myself out?

I had that for the first few months after I got my IUD but it eventually went away. However I still find that my period has a strong metallic odour now!

I’ve had mine about 3 months now and haven’t had an iron smell but I’ve had fishy odor a few times and went to the doctor didn’t have BV the smell went away basically bcus you bleed more with the Copper IUD it raises your PH and can cause smells this month being my third I’m not having that issue and just got my period yesterday, so I’m hoping it doesn’t keep happening bcus PH imbalance is a deal breaker for me.

Not just you girl. Im loving the iud so far, but the smelly discharge annoys the hell out of me. It gets worse when my period is close.
