When to tell "big brother"? 👶

We have a 3 year old who is going to be an incredible big brother. He's been praying for a baby sister AND a baby brother lol. He plays with "babies" all the time & he's already figured it out we think because he pointed to my belly aaaaannnd said "MOMMY YOU HAVE A BABY IN YOUR BELLY! " We are pretty sure he's just put 2 & 2 together from seeing pictures of other pregnant bellies & my tummy is SUUUUUPER big with bloat lol. I didn't confirm it for him. We saw baby yesterday for ultrasound heartbeat was 172. .i'm only 8 weeks 4 days though. Are yall waiting until 12 weeks? Or 20??? Or until when to tell siblings???

Same thing with me! My son is 4 and has been praying for a sibling for months. I got pregnant in Dec but miscarried in February. I didn’t let him know about that pregnancy cause I was so early. Now I’m 10 weeks pregnant and my son knows. We haven’t confirmed with him but he tells me “mama god gave you a baby I can here her In There.” We haven’t said one word to him about it so it’s kinda crazy. I think I’m going to wait until 12 weeks to tell him only cause I know his excitement and he’ll share with everyone. 😊

We’re probably waiting a couple of weeks until I’m out of 1st trimester. I was pregnant 2 years ago (he was 4) and we told him around 6 weeks because we were so excited. I miscarried between weeks 7 and 8 and it broke my heart when he would ask why that happened. I miscarried last November, again between weeks 7 and 8 but at he suggestion of my ob, we hadn’t told him yet. Her opinion was telling those who we thought could provide support in case of anything happening. I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and praying we keep moving forward with a healthy pregnancy. 
Ultimately though it’s what you feel in your heart!

We have not told my 10 year old stepdaughter. We’ll probably tell her next week after our 12 week appt. we had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and baby was wiggling around but I still prefer to wait till 12 for most people to know including children. We’ve talked about it to my 2 year old but well she’s 2. Lol she doesn’t get it.

My child is 4 and I think he is picking up what is going on from conversations about the baby when we dont think he is listening. But idk when I wanna sit him down to tell him tell him. Idk why I'm kinda nervous to! I guess I just pray he is excited instead of sad or whatever. I am worried about how this 2nd kid will change the dynamic of me and my sons relationship. Just dont knoooooooo🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

It's my first... we are telling the grandparents at 10weeks... they also live out of state but are very supportive. I have told work because it is a must as my job requires heaving lifting. We plan to tell the rest of the family at 11-12weeks:) 
If you have heard the HB and are already passed 8 weeks... I wouldn't worry. Plus, there really is no safe zone till baby is born.

My babes already know. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. 11, 3, and 18 months. We've had a couple ultrasounds that look good so we felt comfortable with it.

We told our son the day we found out, simply because I went in for a colonoscopy and they canceled it when the urine test came back positive. I was only 2 days late and had no idea. So when he asked how it went we had to tell him it was canceled and why! He is 10 and was not excited at all! I went for my 8 week appointment today and they did the dating ultrasound, I think once we show him the picture this evening, it will be more real for him and he will be excited. Fingers crossed that he gets excited. He has said that he is hoping for a sister. 😬

My daughter is 4 and such a little baby mama, loves babies and insists on taking her dolly everywhere! 
We’re going to tell her at 12 weeks too, although since around 6 weeks she keeps asking if I’ve got a baby in my tummy 🙈 
I’ve bought a Dora book about being a big sister and an awesome sister tshirt. I’ve also got a book about where babies come from in reserve ready for those curious questions 🤣
