Spotting after intercourse

I am 5 weeks 4 days today. After intercourse I started spotting, not a lot just a little kinda pink. My DH and I are pretty freaked out. I called my doctor and he said it is normal but then goes on to tell me that at 5 w4d there is nothing that could be done. Idk what to think, anyone else had this? My 1 st appt is Monday.
