Gender at 10w6d?

Question

So i went in for an ultrasound today just for peace of mind and the tech said she could see the parts forming and shes sure its a girl. I know it might sound selfish but i have two daughters already and really wanted a boy this time and im crushed. Please keep rude comments to yourself but i want some words of encouragement im pretty devastated and ready to lock myself in my room and cry isnt it a little early to tell gender? Is their hope for me to have my little boy?

I had an ultrasound by a maternal fetal medicine specialist with a top of the line ultrasound at 11w4d with my SON and that dr told me it was a girl with 85% accuracy. 2 weeks later there was a penis and my son is all boy. In fact I think he was insulted by that ultrasound because every one after that he was spread eagle showing his manhood ;) it's definitely possible they are wrong.

I think it's too early to tell. I heard that at this point boy and girl parts still look almost identical so I wouldn't be too upset just yet. It's okay to be sad if it's another girl and you wanted a boy. You'll get over that and be excited and love your next little girl just as much in the end anyways :)

Don't feel bad. I have two girls already and I'm expecting twins and I'm just hoping that I get at least one boy in there! I'll be so heartbroken if I don't cause I'm pretty sure I'm done after this. 4 kiddos is a lot

I agree with everyone else:
A) it's way too early to make a prediction. Any guess at this point is just that; and is more likely to be wrong than right.
B) it's okay to be disappointed. Have a cry about it and let your feelings out if you need to. Then acknowledge that while you really wanted a boy, at least you can be grateful for a healthy baby.

From 9-11 weeks both a baby boy and baby girls look extremely similar. It's way to early to tell at this point unless genetic testing is done. Good luck! You'll get a more accurate answer closer to 14 weeks

I had an ultrasound around the same time and they thought it could be a boy but they said it was to early to tell and it may change, so there is a chance it may change for you as well. Good luck

I'm the oldest of four girls and even though I'm sure my parents were crossing their fingers for a boy every pregnancy, they wouldn't change a thing in retrospect. We have the closest family and my sisters and I are all best friends. I'm 9 weeks with my first and I'm hoping for a girl 😀

That is incredibly early. I understand the parts looks the same at this point so I don't even see how she could make a guess to you like that!

Really is too early to know. At 10/11 weeks something could still sprout up ;) I have 2 boys so I understand your feelings, sister!
