Being offered it in 2 weeks what are people’s experiences and is it worth doing? 😁 thanks in advance xx

I had one with my son and he was born the next day. It’s uncomfortable but not terrible. I’m going to ask for one at my 39 week appt if baby hasn’t come by then.

I’ve never had it done, but a friend just had her baby last Friday after the doctor did a membrane sweep Thursday morning. She said it was painful, which I’ve heard, and the doctor told her she’d likely go into labor within 24-48 hours of the sweep. She did!

I had one yesterday at 37w and I'm so anxious and hopeful. Doc said I could come in again on Monday if nothing happened. The pain is a tiny fraction of the pain of child birth so 🤷 if I get my baby sooner for it, it'll be worth it. He's a big boy, in the 91st %, no medical reason to induce but definitely don't want to get too far if we can help it.

I had one done today. it's uncomfortable but I wouldn't day painful. I did it with my last baby as well had her 2 days later.
