Clean or still using?

Question

If someone tells you that they had a slip after you find they’re paraphernalia and they said it’s been months since the incident, would you believe them? Like why would you keep it unless you plan on slipping again or aren’t currently using?

Just remember that there is a difference in "lapse" and "relapse"....A person who is in recovery could have a lapse in judgment and get high ONE TIME (per se) and not relapse.  A relapse happens when a person goes back to the same behaviors and mannerisms that they had when they were in active addiction. 
Tell this person they don't need the paraphernalia & to get rid of it.  Set boundaries for this person in your life--
IF they feel they need to keep the paraphernalia then tell them you don't want/need to be a part of their life as long as they keep it/have it...
