When will I feel pain?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant...of course I've had normal pregnancy pains like major siatic nerve irritation, pregnancy induced carpel tunnel syndrome, trigger thumb, loss of voice due to the massive amounts of edema...but I've never felt a painful contraction. All my pregnant friends say they started feeling Braxton hicks become painful around 34-36 weeks. My Braxton hicks never hurt. Just mild muscle tightening.

I joke and say that maybe it means I won't feel any pain during labor lol. But just wondering if anyone else never experienced pain until true labor began??

Honestly, maybe you won't feel pain haha I don't feel Braxton hicks either. Or contractions. My mom didn't either. And when she was in labor she didn't feel her contractions until it was time to push. So she didn't even get epifurals

I never had braxton Hicks or pain until I was in labor with my first. Now I'm 36 and 3 and I have had no pain or contractions

With my 1st I didn't experience any pains (except for sciatic nerve pain) until I was dialated to about 6.

With my daughter I didn't feel too bad until I went into transition. It didn't last long either.

I think they're just saying that some moms experience pain with BH.. I've also never had painful BH, I've heard pain with contractions is more common with labor than BH.

I'm feeling the same way - 37 weeks pregnant and I never notice my braxton hicks unless I happen to place my hand on my bump and then can feel it tightening. They don't happen very often either..  i think anyway cause I never feel them!  No signs of mucus plug, no sign of anything really...  think my bubba might be too comfy in there :-/ xxx
