High progesterone in early pregnancy or overstimulation??

Abbey

A little bit of background info so y’all can understand...

I’m 28 and have been TTC baby #1 since June 2017.

Since I haven’t gotten pregnant yet my dr tested my progesterone level at the end of this June to see if I’m ovulating. The level was low so he gave me clomid and since my cycles are kinda irregular he gave me progesterone to start my period. He also retested my progesterone that day (a week after the first test) and then it was fine so he said I ovulated late.

I took 100mg of progesterone twice a day for 5 days and it was just over a week after I finished the progesterone that my period started. CD 5-9 I took 50mg if clomid once a day. We had sex when we were recommended to and my progesterone level was tested again this Wednesday, CD 23.

This morning I was called by the nurse who told me that my progesterone level is very high now, the highest she’s seen. She asked if I’m in pain and I said no, and she was a little surprised by that. Since my last period started on July 24 she told me that if it doesn’t start next week I should do a pregnancy test and call them with the result. If it’s negative they’ll do an ultrasound to check for overstimulation.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Is a very high level of progesterone bad in early pregnancy? Is it indicative of anything?
