It's called the linea nigra, very common in pregnancy though not everyone will get it. The actual cause is unknown but it is speculated that the darkening of the line is due to hormones in the placenta. It usually fades after you give birth. Mine showed up super early in the first trimester!

I got mine super early. Like 6 weeks. But black women can get ours earlier because we have more melanin. Also, being out in the sun can make it come faster.
