Frogs

Okay this is so random, but seriously, so since I was a little kid, frogs have ‘fallen’ into our window wells. But it seems so odd they would just fall down here. In one of the window wells I’ve noticed the frogs hide in a tunnel they dug. Does anyone know if these frogs can dig or get themselves out by digging? I feel bad for leaving them there to die, but I’d also feel bad if that is their home. Sometimes the frogs die in the window wells and sometimes they hide in the tunnels. So I don’t know if some can’t find their way out??
