Dont change a name you love based on other peoples opinions. Its your baby. Unless its the father,  then you may have to compromise a bit and maybe use as a middle name.

I don't like the name Colette, I wouldn't use it myself but that doesn't mean you shouldn't use it. A lot of my friends didn't like the name Spencer when I suggested for my son but we called him Spencer and it suits. If you love the name Colette, call her Colette. It doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks x
