Is 4 years old too Young to use a mouthwash?

They have kids mouthwash, but it shouldn’t be used unsupervised. Explain that they CANNOT swallow, use a tiny cup and ‘serve’ it, and demonstrate before they use it.
(Even if a small amount is swallowed, it won’t hurt, though.)

It’s really not necessary until their 6 years old & older, that’s what my pedi dentist said anyways unless your child has dental problems or they think your child will in the future then they prescribe mouthwash or make recommendation on what kind of mouthwash to buy for your child. If you do end up using it, just use precaution & watch your child use it and explain not to swallow and just give a little bit to where if they did end up accidentally swallowing it, that it wouldn’t hurt them. Also, keep it out of children’s way so they just don’t get into and drink it.

My son has a medicated mouthwash that was prescribed to him by a doctor(his father has horrible dental history so it's a precaution) 
He does great with it. Like everyone said, you need to monitor it and make sure they know that they're not to swallow it.
