I bought a week worth of the dollar tests, a first response line at one time and then eventually bought the two pack clearblue that has one line test and one digital. I used the first response early response the day my period was due and it was negative. So then I used the dollar tests for every morning following and finally 8 days late I got a faint line. The next morning I went to the store and got the clearblue mainly for the digital but I used the line test also since I bought it. 
When we ttc #2 I plan on getting just a handful of tests. Maybe one first resonse, 2-3 line tests and then a digital. So I’ll test every couple days instead of every day if/when my period is late.
