Ways to induce labor?

Question

I'm almost 39 weeks & I seriously can't take this anymore. Been dilated since 35 weeks and I need to get this baby out. My dr won't induce until 41 weeks and I seriously can't deal another 2 weeks. What are some ways that might actually work to naturally induce? 
I walk everyday for about 2 hours
& I've tried nipple stimulation but nothing so far

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. & honestly, they will come when they are ready. Walking around did get me to 1 cm though! But it took an entire week of walking 😑

I took 2 full table spoons of castor oil with a glass of OJ.. I walked the mall for about 4hrs while having contractions.. Went to the DR. I was only 1cm... Went home walked some more sat on my medicine ball and started pumping(nipple stimulation).. Took a nap work up with stronger contractions got up from the couch and my water broke.. 18hrs later I was holding my son. He was born 39weeks 1day.

You could try squats use a chair so you don't fall tho. Walking can help. Semen has something in it that can help soften the cervix. You can gently bounce on an exercise ball. Put some music on and dance :-) none of this is proven to start labor but it can't hurt.

Once the dr told me I was the tiniest bit dilated I went shopping all day, literally! Next morning I woke up in labor! Tried EVERYTHING else nothing worked, but overload of walking!

As someone who has been induced four time (41 weeks with my singles and 38 weeks with my twins) I tried everything safe and nothing except Pitocin worked for me. It's not worth trying something that could make you and baby sick but because you are uncomfortable.

You can try evening primrose oil. They are gel caps you can pickup at Walmart. I've never tried it but I may this time... Many women swear by it. You can take it oral and  vaginally. Just call your doc and make sure it's ok for you to try. GL!

Nipple stimulation is the only proven way to maybe induce labor. Everything else is just speculation.

Some people might offer a few old tricks but don't do any of them blindly without looking at the potential harm.

Don't take castor oil, it's not safe. It can cause you to have diarrhea which can dehydrate you. Some also say it can cause baby to pass its first stool. I haven't verified that yet but it doesn't seem worth the risk.

And don't go for bumpy car rides, you can still damage your placenta.

I'm 39 weeks today too, I feel your pain!

Go for a cold swim... then lots of sex.. I accidentally put myself in to early labor with one of my kids
