I've used both Medela and Spectra. I'll always pick Spectra over Medela. The Medela is really loud and doesn't even get as much milk out. Spectra has features I definitely used (a timer and a night light), was quieter, and got more milk out overall

I have the Medela Pump in Style and the Ameda Finesse. I used the Medela with my son and was able to continue pumping at work until he was 13 months. It worked fine and the parts are easy to find. It's a little loud, but the suction was good and it was easy to get multiple letdowns per pumping session. I have the Ameda Finesse that I've been using with my daughter who is 9 weeks. I haven't used it that much yet, but so far it's working great and has good suction. It's lightweight and quieter than the Medela, and it's more portable. It's also comfortable to use. I'm not a huge fan of the Ameda storage bottles, but it also works with the Medela storage bottles I have already.

I went with Spectra S2. I got it free with my insurance, but I did also buy the Avent breast pump like 2-3 months ago so I will probably switch to see which works best. 😊

I have the Medela Sonata and LOVE it. I'm a FTM so this is the only pump I've used. I've heard that Medela is loud, but my Sonata is VERY quiet. It also has some really cool features!!! I got it free through my husband's insurance.
