Personally I don't like the thought of something around my babies neck - that terrifies me. Also what if it broke and they swallowed a bead? Maybe I'm crazy but that just terrified me. If you did use one I just wouldn't put it round babies neck, maybe just hold it for them? Or look up gumigem teething necklaces - it's for the parent to wear and baby chews on while being held - they look much safer and have great reviews.

There is NO science behind these and yet every mom I talk to swears by them. We got one a few weeks ago. The one I got has knots between each bead and a safety release where if it gets pulled on at all, the necklace will just fall off. So I'm not worried about the choking hazard there. The beads are so hard it would be impossible for baby to break them until they have a few teeth and strong jaws.
