Some days you won’t be able to text all day long. I’d like to hear from them at least a couple times throughout the day but I don’t expect lengthy conversations if we’re both working.

No, actually it’s normal to not talk all day. My boyfriend works full time and I work part time, and go to college. We won’t always be at our phones but if I’m leaving work or he is leaving work we will text each other just to let each other know hey I’m going home or hey I’m going back to work. But we never ever talk all day. We use to. When we first met but we were pretty young. Once you get too busy you can’t help but only talk to each other for a few hours a day. It’s life. 😞🤷🏼‍♀️ lol

Long distance have a more communication system cause well, they're not always around each other so for them, it's important

My fiancé and I were long distance for 5 years. We talked 2-3 times a week. No constant texting. We were both in professional programs and there wasn’t time for that. Last year I was in another country for my internship and we were lucky to have a good long conversation once a week. I was insanely busy and had no life outside of work. Now, I’m a resident and he’s working full time. We live in the same city now so we see each other a lot more. But if we texted throughout the day I’d get fired. Plain and simple. Besides, I couldn’t deal with that either. I’m much too independent. We have an incredible relationship and I love him so much. But constantly needing to communicate and never being able to focus on life that’s right in front of you doesn’t seem healthy in my opinion.

Not all day, but a text/reply every hour or two doesn’t hurt. Just let’s you know you’re on their mind or they’re on your mind.

i mean my boyfriend lives away for uni and he also has a job, i also go to uni and my degree is a lot more hands on since it’s an art degree so i don’t expect us to be able to talk constantly all day everyday, when we can’t we just tell each other we’re gonna be busy and we get on with our day without a problem
