Is this normal?

So I'm 12 weeks pregnant exactly and still don't have a connection with this baby... I haven't even thought of names or anything... is there something wrong with me?

I think that's very normal in early pregnancy. While you may have plenty of symptoms and even begin to show your pregnancy it can all feel a bit unreal. Unlike later in pregnancy when the kicks and wiggles let you know there is in fact a baby there. 
Some people feel that connection instantly. Some once they have the physical sensation of life within them. And still some don't feel it until their baby is born. None of those are right or wrong. People just react differently.

There is also the fear aspect in early pregnancy that tends to abate somewhat later on. The fear of loss can make you protect yourself by not allowing attachment to take place too early.

Whatever the reason there is nothing wrong or bad about not feeling connected yet. Just be honest with yourself and your feelings and it will come in the right time.

I will be totally honest with my first until they laid him in my arms nothing no attachment nothing. I  think the moment you lay your eyes on them and they are in your arms that is all that matters.

Don't worry, not every single women is the most excited creature on earth when they get pregnant. 
For me it was more of a rational decision and a way to make my husband happy. I do feel protective over my unborn in a way that I take care of myself and him/her right now, but I'm far from picking names and "being happiest women on earth". Babies come with lots of work and responsibility that neutralizes my positive thoughts somewhat. I feel like some people forget that part and just see the positives. Good for them, but not everyone is like that and it's okay!!

Totally normal. Sometimes our fears take over and we subconsciously think about the worst that could happen and think well, no sense in getting attached. I love the baby I'm carrying, but I have such a deep seeded fear it won't have a heartbeat when I go to my sonogram today. Everything else has went bad in my life, why not this too? That's what my brain tells me.

Completely normal! There's post part in depression for sure but pregnancy depression is also so real! I didn't bond with my son until he was almost 5-6 months old. I wanted him so badly but at the same time used to wish I would miscarry and other horrible things. I was NOT myself when I was pregnant with him and it only got worse when he arrived!

Is this normal?
