BC Pill and Sex

Hey guys, sorry if it sounds silly but I’ve read some articles online and wanted to be sure; I use Yasmin which means I don’t use placebo pills after finishing a package. And when I am off the pill and waiting for my period I use candom with my bf and also when I’m on my period.

From what I’ve read online, using another protection is not necessary during that period.

Is that true?

Or is there still a chance that I might get pregnant which means I have to use candoms?
