How did you babyproof your fireplace??

Question

We are thinking of buying screen but we are scared that it’s going to fall down on our baby if she pulls or put her weight on it.
How could we prevent? 
Babygate is one option but we have small living space.  Sigh 
(Our fireplace does not have hearth.)

We put our tv stand in front of ours and then a gate around it so they can’t get to the glass doors.

We have a gate around our fireplace. We have the Teekland Baby Safety Gate, we ordered it from Amazon. It's a very good gate and worth the price.

My mom used a baby gate you screw into the walls and it had a door opening only adults (older kids) could open if you were wanting to use the fireplace, also got off Amazon sticky rubber strips to put on any corners of the fireplace.
