I’ve had horrible cramping since i was in 1st grade, gotten multiple ultrasounds done and nothing was found as i grew up i realized they what i was feeling was the same as period cramps, I’ve always had horrible painful heavy periods. And not until after high school my primary care dr said she thinks i have endometriosis but said i didn’t need surgery until i was ready to have kids, she would never help. So when i got married i started going to a new dr this time an OBGYN i told her that my last dr suspected i have endometriosis so she did an ultrasound and said she didn’t see anything but normally you can’t see it on ultrasounds, but had found a cysts on my ovaries, always told me they would go away on their own and told me to come back every 3 months for a follow up to see if they changed in size, for about 8 months i went back for follow ups but still there and not changing in size so did a CT which confirmed it was a hemorrhaging cyst. Still just told me to come back in 3 months for an ultrasound, so i finally got sick of it and told her doing ultrasounds is doing nothing for me i was in a lot of pain and i wanted something to be done. She didn’t believe me that i had endo because she saw the cysts believed all my symptoms are from the cysts. She wouldn’t do surgery for the cyst because she said cysts will go away on their own and was worried about me losing an ovary. I’ve had the same one for years and i told her that, still nothing. I told her i still believe this is endometriosis I’ve had every single symptom for years I’m now 22, my last dr diagnosed me without surgery due to my symptoms. She said she won’t do surgery until we try for kids for a year with no luck.. now TTC for 10 months I’m just feeling really discouraged and frustrated that drs won’t help me.. I’m so worried that it’s going to get worse and I’m not going to be able to have kids because a dr refused to help me sooner. I know multiple people i went to school with and family that have endometriosis and their drs gave them the surgery as soon as they suspected they had it even with them not trying for kids, so i don’t understand why they won’t do the same for me..
