Long cycles?

So I've been reading that if you have long cycles it is way harder to get pregnant. AF just came by today and I am soo depressed. Anyone have long irregular cycles like this get prego? Please I need encouragement and hope. My hubby is even starting to get sad about this. It's been 8 months trying. :(

My doctor told me it doesn't matter and that I could ovulate even if I don't have an actual period...but then again everybody always says something different!

I just read this too! I had no idea that a LONG cycle could be an indication of no ovulation. I've always had SUPER long cycles. Something else for me to stress out about. Great.

Actually I think it's the other way around. If it's a short cycle you could have fertilization and not enough time to implant before the flow starts.

I have! My second i was on medication that altered my periods, at the time i had been 3 months before with no period, than one within 43 days, than 32, than 55. I got really lucky with him. My last, which ended in a mc, but my periods were 52, 44,50, 35, 30 and then i fell pregnant. It was a bad ending, but i did get pregnant.
