Hunter Update:

Alantra🧜‍♀️ • Wife ❤ 1 son 💙 One on the way with a twin in heaven 💕

I haven't updated on my little boy in awhile.

So, things have gotten better for him. He is making good progress. At his 6pm care time yesterday he had a temperature of 101.3 and he was very fussy. The nurses suspected his bed was turned up too high and turned it back down. His temp came back down to a comfortable 98. He was looking pale, started to d-stat a little and started needing more oxygen. He also wasn't being himself, less active not crying much. His blood count was low so they gave him some blood and because he's had an infection before they did some blood work to check for it. We won't know the results for a couple days but they put him on antibiotics to be safe.

On the good side, He has made great progress. He got his pic line IV out on his One Month Birthday. He also got down to CPAP of 6. If he stays at 21 for 24 hours he'll go back down to 5. Once he's on 21% oxygen for a day or 2 at 5 he will be on a room air trial. Meaning No CPAP! We're hoping he'll have a trial by the end of this coming week. That will mean his feeding tube will move to his nose so he can start practicing with a bottle or feeding at the breast!

The nurse today said he can get his temperature probe taken off tomorrow. This means he can wear clothes hopefully by Monday :D

Another milestone he's looking at soon is getting put in an open bed. He has to be 3lbs 8oz. He is currently 3lbs 3oz. He's been going up an ounce a day so just a few days and he'll be moving into a big boy bed ❤️

I love this picture because he isn't wearing a hat so you can see his beautiful hair!!!

(he has an IV in his head for the blood transfusion)
