Wtf CVS?!

If this isn't for controversy then I'll move it but this is just....okay so my 4mo started teething at 3m and 2w and so we were giving her Tylenol but her doctor said it's okay to give her numbing stuff for her gums. So within this time around 4m 2w I noticed her poop turning super grey. Like grey as can be. I took her to hospital because that's what I was told to do. Btw (still haven't called us about the results.) So come to find out Nuby all natural gum numbing gel had a recall but my CVS didn't take them down and so my daughter was having grey poops. I found out that the gel had killed babies and so we stopped it immediately. She's fine. Her poop is back to normal and she's eating just fine. Do you think that I should say something to my local CVS or something? My daughter could've been severely hurt or something. Also I don't wanna sound like I'm overreacting she is just my life you know? Anyway what do you think I should do?

They should be aware of these things. I advice you to speak to their corporate office and not the store. That’s unacceptable. I’m glad she was okay.

Yes let them know because your baby was thankfully fine but there may be others who are still using the product. Smh that’s negligence on their part.

SO UPDATE IN THE COMMENTS. I checked the FDA sight and it says the gels and tablets are not safe for babies. Also another mother had an issue with the same type of gel I got for Nani. It's not a drill. I'm going to CVS and saying something

All teething gels have recalls out recommended by the FDA. Some companies have chosen to wait until they get fined

I work at CVS and we never recieved a recall issue for Nuby products, only Oragel. We took them off the shelves in my store because we figured it was going to come soon since it was having the same issue as why Oragel was recalled. 
The FDA is going to prosecute and sue companies that do not recall amd change their products, but not all companies have gotten on board with it and issued a recall on their products. 
It's also possible that the person pulling products missed it in the back room and the next associate came along and stocked it not knowing it shouldnt be stocked. Take it up with the manager first, and then coorporate after that if something isn't done.

Anything that's recalled has to be taken off the shelves. Yes, raise hell, and consider suing for your hospital bills. It's illegal to sell anything that's recalled.

You should never use any sort of numbing gel on your baby's gums. Period. It's not just Nuby. Also, as far as I am aware, there isn't a current recall on Nuby teething gels. I just did a quick Google search to make sure and can't find anything recent. Some stores can choose to stop selling them due to them being unsafe, but there isn't a recall right now so it's not CVS' fault your child had a reaction. It's the fact that teething gels are horrible and dangerous for babies. And I"m shocked your pediatrician even suggested it.

I work at CVS and they received the recall on all teething gel and tablet products a few months ago before I went on leave.

I would sue the fuck out of the company . They should have taken it down an trashed it or sent it back where it came from. If that was my kid I would cause anything could have happened nd she got close to being sick is that’s what caused her poop like that at least try to cause it’s not right.
