How to handle sex and kissing scenes in movies?

Do you turn it off if people start kissing and having sex and your child walks in or happens to be in the room? If you have Children between age 3 to 6? Please no harsh words, just asking

I don’t watch tv that’s not appropriate for my kids when they are awake. A 3 year old should not watch sex scenes???!!!!!

Yeah I'd probably try not to watch movies with suggested sex scenes while they are in the room lol. Kissing I'm fine with.. you can see all that in public

I was never shielded from that stuff as a kid and I am fine. It’s sex. It’s natural and it opens a dialog with your kids. It’s not like it’s hard core porn or something. I think it’s a little weird people would fast forward kissing in a movie. Don’t your kids see you and your SO kiss? Sex scenes depending on what you are watching don’t show anything anyway. I remember asking my mom what two people were doing. She said having sex. It’s something adults do. And that was fine and I went back to my toys.

Kissing I wouldn’t care, sex (with or without nudity)... I wouldn’t be watching if there was a possibility of my kids walking in the room. If they were sleeping & woke up, I would immediately turn it off.

Those things were never hidden from my sisters and I growing up and I won't be hiding them from my daughter either. There's nothing wrong with sex and I plan to always create a safe space in our home for open communication on those topics.

I let my kids watch whatever. Yea, they’re 4 & 6. Usually if someone starts making out, my girls just stop watching & go play, but I don’t stop it. My 6yo likes true blood. Now, I won’t watch porn if they’re awake at all. That’s a nighttime thing that they aren’t allowed to watch and they don’t even know about it.

I struggle with this. I have a 4-year old and don’t know if I should shield her from it or treat it as something natural. I want she and I to be open about these things. I was exposed to sex at her age and I was too scared to talk to my mum because she would always shield me from anything sexual. So I thought it was something to be ashamed of, for a very longtime. 
Anyway, I need to read up more on this and see where I lie.
