When are you announcing?

I will be 11w6d on my birthday! I know that some people say the first trimester is over at 12 weeks and some say 13. Would I be in the "safe zone" to announce on my birthday? I know this sounds dumb but I'm so paranoid.

We will be announcing towards the end of our 14th week.  We're going to take a "first day of school pic" of our daughter with a sign that says "August 20th official 2nd grader February 2016 official BIG SISTER" and send it to our family and close friends

We're announcing to family in two weeks at my Grandpa's birthday. He's almost completely deaf so we want to have the announcement centered around him. Thinking about getting him a T-shirt that says World's Greatest Great-Grandpa. I'm excited! I'm getting more and more impatient. :)

We just announced last night. Yesterday was our first appointment, which is what we waited for. We just wanted that reassurance that baby was there and our baby was healthy.

For our first little girl we announced after our 13 week appointment. Last time I announced after our first appointment then lost the baby at 11 weeks, 3 days. I'm currently 10 weeks, 4 days and this time around I'm not going to announce it at all because it was horrible to have to "unannounce" it! Do what you are comfortable with though!!

We announced with our DD at 11 weeks after our 11 week appointment but since SO is working out of town and I have my 11 week appointment on a Monday we will be announcing when I'm 11w6d while he's home for the weekend :)
