Too old for Ferber method?

Question

I never agreed with this method. My LO really knows how to cry like he’s dying when I leave him. I’ve never been able to stick to it because I just feel too bad. Now my LO is 13 months and has yet to sleep through the night. Normally averaging waking up 3 times. I work and am finishing up in school so mommy really needs some sleep. Lol. 
Is he too old to be trying this method? I’ve tried everything else so far and I’m really running out of options

I think you should try it! Just know it’s reaaaaally hard the first couple of nights but so worth it in the long run. He just has to know you’re not going to cave!

My boy was 13 months when I started it. He fell alseep great but would wake at 2am. I'd bring him in our bed and he'd spend the rest the night with us so his cries couldn't wake in twin roommate. My husband was put on medication that may effect his sleep so I moved his twin into her own her (she was ALWAYS a great sleeper) and started it that night. 
First night was completely awful! I felt so bad I cried. I held off though! His first cry I went in gave him a kiss, told him night night, laid him back done and told him I loved him and have a good night...same as I do every night. He cried, 5 mins later same thing... 7 mins later same thing.. after about 30 mins he feel asleep.
Night 2 same thing only took around 25 mins. 3rd night took about 15 mins. 4th night he fussed but not a full cry, I went in once. 5th night he slept right through and has done amazing every since. I moved sister back in and they have no problems sleeping through the night. Good luck!
