What is cycle buddies?

I’m new to the period part of glow. I used to only have the pregnancy version but unfortunately I lost the babies and just deleted the app. I logged i with the same information on here so that’s why it says I’ve been on here a year. However, I’ve seen this thing called “cycle buddies” what is that? Do you just post when you have your period? Or when you put in your period does it match you with another person who has the same cycle? Do you just make a post saying “oh my god! I just started my period! Who’s my cycle buddyyyyyy?” Lol I mean what is it about?

Ps. The last question is very sarcastic. It wasn’t meant to be taken literally. I’d hope people don’t actually do that lol.
