I’m shocked at the things they don’t tell you. The hospital I’m delivering at is now offering postponing the first bath to help baby regulate their own body temp. Also, the only purpose for the antibiotic gel they put in their eyes is for gonorrhea....I got tested for it when they swabbed for group b and am opting out of that. The hep b also can wait until you go in for babies first round of vaccines. 
I wish I had known these things with my first. If the birthing process isn’t traumatizing enough then they want to pump them full of shit they don’t need right now.

My baby got hers at her first check up 3 days after birth since she was born at a birth center .

We did an hour of skin to skin, then they gave her the shot and back to skin:)
