Should I just move on? Advice !?

I’ve been heartbroken over my ex ever since he left me in February.. Every once in a while we check up on each other.. I finally let everything out and let him know that I missed him so much.. He told me that he missed me but he’s not right for me and that he doesn’t want me to get my hopes up. Me being ignorant as always I asked him if we would ever talk again and he said “if you want let’s try it out now but it’s never gonna be anything serious”. He’s over here calling me babe. And telling me how much he loves me and how he wants me.. On the same night some guy asked me on a date (2nd time he’s asked me out) I just don’t know what to do.. Stay w my ex who I’ve known for a while knowing it’s not gonna go anywhere or try to pursue something new ? Any advice 😕 I just don’t wanna get hurt again 😩
